Maybe you had a bad day today and if you want to have a better day tomorrow? Well we’ve got some good tips to help you out!

1. Go to bed early tonight. The best way to start the next day is to have enough sleep tonight. Going to bed early tonight will ensure that you’ll start tomorrow rested and ready for the day. Plus, if today wasn’t the greatest day, maybe it’s best to just end the day by going to bed to restart the next day. A quote by Orlando A. Battista says, “The best eraser in the world is a good night’s sleep.” So keep that in mind when you’re trying to make tomorrow a better day!

2. Eat a healthy breakfast. This is really important because it gets your mind and body ready for the day. There is a saying that goes, “Not eating breakfast is like trying to drive a car without any gas – you can’t get very far.” And that’s so true! If you don’t eat a healthy breakfast, you aren’t giving your body the fuel it needs to get through the day. Especially if you have to go to school or work, without a healthy breakfast to start your day, you won’t be able to focus on your tasks for the day.

3. Listen to a good podcast. There are so many podcasts that are available to listen to that fall into several categories – art, business, comedy, education, politics, health, music, science, culture, SPORTS, and more! If you want to learn a new language, understand the laws of thermodynamics, or get the lowdown on the latest NFL draft, listening to a podcast is a perfect thing to do! It’ll help start your day on a good note by listening to something that interests you. PRO TIP: If you are looking for a super coolpodcast about mindset, check out our Wrestling Mindset podcast!

4. Spend your time with positive people. Your mood and attitude are effected by the environment you’re in, including the people you are around. It can get exhausting being surrounded by people that are constantly negative, pessimistic, and full of complaints. It is ok to prioritize yourself first and separate yourself from these kind of people. Gravitate toward more positive people and your mood will be positive too. Roy Bennett explains, “Good things happen in your life when you surround yourself with positive people,” so take his advice and start applying this to your own life! It’ll definitely make tomorrow a better day!

5. Talk about ideas and goals rather than people and events.Just on principle, discussions about ideas and goals are inherently more likely to be positive than conversations about people and events – which typically start becoming more judgmental and negative. Plus, talking about ideas and goals are encouraging you to talk about the future and how you want to better it. These types of conversations are just more beneficial in the long run. Jonathan Ive suggests, “The best ideas start as conversations,” which means having these conversations can enhance your ideas and goals as well. Having these optimistic conversations will help you have a better day!

6. Practice, Workout, and Stretch. Hopefully for most of us, practicing our sport or working out is valued and seen as a positive enhancement to your day instead of a hassle or hinderance. Exercising is also proven to be a stress reliever as well, so if you’re having another bad day, maybe exercising will help turn your day around! Plus if you really focus during your practice or workout and finally achieve that goal you’ve been working on, you’re going to feel really accomplished and it’ll help make tomorrow a better day! Especially if today was a bad day because of something sport related, then just do better tomorrow!

7. Practice your faith and pray. For those of you that are religious or spiritual, using your faith to help make tomorrow a better day is a perfect tool to use! Praying can help you understand why today was a bad day, help you plan to make tomorrow a better day, and help you ensure that tomorrow is a better day. A really fitting Christian prayer for this instance is: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen.
