One of the hardest things to do is not think about letting down the people that always count on you. You end up worrying about what you are doing 24/7 and end up losing your concentration to what is going on right in front of you.

We shouldn’t worry about the past or what is coming up in the future. This takes away from what is going on in this very exact moment. If we are constantly worrying about what your mother thinks, what your father might say to you, etc., we would never be motivated to do anything. Nothing would ever get done.

Would you NOT take the open lay-up just because your friend told you one time you shoot funny? Would you NOT shoot the three just because your teammates hates when people shoot the three in the corner? Would you NOT play defense just because your brother told you that your side shuffling could be better?

I think you would.

Don’t let the fear of letting other people down make you scared to make a move, steal the ball, take a charge, take more chances.
