Another thing that we’d take a deep dive into through the Gymnast Mindset program is this idea of excuses. And rethinking and addressing those excuses that either you’re saying out loud or are running through your head on a regular basis. Because those excuses are holding you back!

For example maybe you slipped a foot off the beam, and you blamed the beam. The beam was too slippery, or your feet were too sweaty. When the reality is that you had a part in this mistake as well. If you had been straight on your flight series, your foot might not have slipped to begin with. If you were straight, solid, and square, a potentially slippery beam wouldn’t have been an issue.

The point is to try to look at excuses and see where your responsibility lies and to also recognize when we are using invalid excuses.
